Bobby Lee is opening up about his departure from And Just Like That.
The 53-year-old actor and comedian played Jackie Nee in the first two seasons of the Sex and the City spin-off series, but wasn’t asked back for season 3.
At San Diego Comic-Con, Bobby spoke to Entertainment Weekly about what he thinks is the real reason that HBO Max didn’t invite him back.

“Some of the woke elements of the show, they got rid of, and I think I was a part of that,” Bobby told the publication and went on to cite another character being cut from the third season. “I think Sara [Ramirez] didn’t come back and some other people. They tried to put minorities in, and — I don’t know. I never saw the show.”
During the first two seasons, Bobby played Carrie Bradshaw’s podcast co-host. At the end of the second season, the storyline surrounding Carrie’s podcast came to an end as she shifted her focus to her novel, meaning that Bobby wasn’t the only one of her podcast co-workers to be cut from the third season.
Despite not being part of the third season, Bobby said that Sarah Jessica Parker was “the nicest person” that he’s ever worked with.
If you missed it, one And Just Like That star said they don’t actually watch the show!
