Sofia Mattsson is saying goodbye to General Hospital – for now.
On Friday (July 18), the 34-year-old actress bid farewell to the ABC long-running soap opera after playing Sasha since 2018.
However, a rep for General Hospital made it clear that the door is open for Sofia to return in the future.

In the episode, Sasha decided to leave Port Charles with newborn daughter Daisy to go and stay with her parents, Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Holly (Emma Samms). It should come too much as a shock for fans that Sasha has decided to leave town. Ever since Daisy’s birth, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) has been secretly threatening the baby and tormenting Sasha.
Following her exit, Sofia shared a message for fans with TV Insider.
“You guys are the best,” Sofia said. “I’m in awe of your commitment, and I’m so honored to have gotten to experience your love and support firsthand.”
She also teased, “I have some exciting new projects in the works, so I hope to see everyone through another screen soon!”
